Colossians 2:10 and Galatians 2:20 makes you feel "complete" in what sense? If God has done all He has to with you, you no longer need Him. There is much, much more of Him for you to get! Do you know Him? God is a living being, Sovereign, Holy, mysterious - no way do you know all that there is to know about Him. Everything you need is in Him - is that what you mean by "complete?" Do you know Him personally? As your healer? your provider? your Comforter? Are you anointed with and operating in His power to heal the sick, cast out devils, and raise the dead? Do you hear His voice? Do you have all of the fruit of the Spirit? Are you totally without sin? Do you perfectly love everyone? Do you feel His presence (I haven't experienced all of these, either, just some)? Don't be deceived - God is more than what theology teaches, He's real! He sees, hears, talks, feels, and moves. He hasn't totally revealed Himself to no one. 2 Peter 1:3-11 shows us how to grow in grace - it's a process. Faith is an action word! False doctrines tell souls that "once saved always saved." That's a lie. The word "believe" in the greek means "to commit, accept, to trust." Being saved is being in a relationship with the Almighty God! If we have to work at making our natural relationships work, don't hesitate to think that you're going to have to put some work into this divine relationship. But God has given us everything we need to make this work - all we have to do is choose and grow (1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 3:18). Also see Romans 11:22; James 1:25; 1 Timothy 4:16 "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled. In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: IF ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven. . ." WTB, Thank you for your response. In what sense am I complete in Him? Well, first of all ,never did I say "feel" complete. Our faith is based upon fact- the Word of God. I believe the promises in God's Word. I call these identification truths- I am now identified with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection! So, to be complete in Him is to be complete in all He accomplished in the forementioned acts. Christ now (presently) lives in me. This is a fact of scripture, not a feeling! Second, I'm not talking a cavalier or flippant faith, but again, one based on His Word! How about Eph. 1:3, am I , or am I not "Blessed with all the spiritual blessings in the heavenlies, in Christ?" His Word says I am:-) Whether one "feels so" or not, is not the issue! Let me ask you (rhetorically if you choose), what do you mean when you say "Don't be deceived - God is more than what theology teaches, He's real!" I'm not deceived. How much more real can you get than, Gal. 2:20, Christ living in us! My friend, theology is merely the study of God. We understand about God primarily through His Word, don't we? Joh 19:30 "it is finished". We are complete[in him] because of what Christ did on the cross. My understanding is there were at least 10, Roman, Jewish, and Aramaic Historians/Scholars that recorded the life of Jesus.

Bruce, Nice to hear from you. Amen to what you said. John 19:30 would summarize and explain what is mean by being complete in Him! BradK |

We are healed because His stripes are healed, and finished because of what He did on the cross. May Peace be with you.
