1 | The Suffering of the Church | Acts 8:2 | strts5 | 217588 | ||
That is interesting Theology, I don't know that I buy it. I believe God can turn any situation into Glory for Himself, but I can't seem to find any scripture where God uses suffering to lead us. He uses His Holy Spirit to lead and I don't know that there is any suffering in the Holy Spirit. In the O.T. there was suffering as a result of sin, and God did teach His people through suffering, but suffering was not His tool for teaching or inspiring. Suffering in ALL forms is EVIL and SATANIC. It is the opposite of the Kingdom of Heaven. There is Heb 5:8 but I don't think you can argue Christ suffered until the cross, and I don't believe that was a learning experience. In Him, Mike |

Mike, You contradict yourself here. You state "God did teach His people through suffering"... Then state "but suffering was not His tool for teaching or inspiring." Let me ask this, what do you see as the results of the church being persecuted? Acts 8:4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word. Stand in His grace, WOS |
