1 | Biblical Interpretation? | John 7:17 | gospelmann | 167311 | ||
Just an observation of myself that I'll offer. I have noticed that when ever I didn't like what God was telling me in his word is when I started doing the most "interpreting". I have come to the sometimes painful conclusion that God said what He meant, and meant what He said. I need to do less interpreting and more accepting. As for application, John chapter14:15 says, "If you love me keep my commands", He didn't say if it was convenient or culturaly acceptable, or if I wanted to. He said If I love Him. That 4 letter word just took application to a whole new level. In Christian Love gospelmann |

Thank you gospelmann for your post. Please allow me to say the following. Quote, "If you love me you will keep my commands". The greek at this verse means "If you love me you will do what I have told you to do, what I am telling you to do, and what I will tell you to do". |
