1 | What is preaching Christ? | John 7:17 | mitchm0521 | 167417 | ||
Yes I have personally seen mountains moved. I am living in the 100 fold return on everything I sow into the Kingdom of God. God has just recently supernatually blessed my family with a beautiful new home. By the world's standards we would not be able to afford it, but by God's standards, and by his love for his children, we can afford it. You can talk badly about Brother Hagin all you like, you are the one who has to give an account of every idle word you speak when you stand before Christ. If you don't like the 100 fold message, maybe you might want to blot that part of scripture out of your bible, or at least try to explain to me what you believe it means, instead of using the devils tactics and becoming an accuser of the brethren. And yes, Ephesians states wonderful things Christ has done for us on the cross. Peter does as well when he points out that because of the stripes of Jesus Christ, because he was beaten, we can live in divine healing in our lives. I'm simply saying, that to say preaching miracles is not 'preaching Christ' as someone here put it. Then you must be saying that the cross is not a miraculous thing. And I'm simply saying, that since the cross is what brought me back into the relationship with God he ordained me to walk in before the foundation of the world, which yes as Jesus said , does include financial prosperity, then it is a mircale that needs to be preached. If you don't preach it, then you are leaving out a wonderful event that took place upon that cross. And I don't care to read a book that tries to document things about other men, I like to read scriptural messages. I don't worry about fussing and fighting with others. I like to leave the bad mouthing, trash talking to the sinners. Also, if you takt he time to read Brother Hagin's books yourself, then you will see that he glorifies the Lord in his own life, by having everything JEsus paid for. Jesus removed the curse from me, so if I still chose to live in sickness and disease, I'm throwing out part of what he paid for. If I don't walk in the fullness of his sacrifice, then I'm making the cross of none effect in my life. And I refuse to ever belittle anything that God has done for me. Brother I understand many don't like the message that Brother Hagin preaches, but all I ask is that instead of saying what so and so said, and talking about hearsay, and bad mouthing others. Give me scripture that prove a certain teaching is wrong. Otherwise, I'll not response anymore. I'm here to help those who have valid questions, I'm done with watching people talk bad about God's children. I don't agree with everything you say, does God then say that I should go around and bad mouth you? Talk down about you? I don't agree with everything Billy Graham says, but should I go around and say he shouldn't be on TV? NO that would be absurd, thousands, if not millions, have come to the saving grace of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Billy Graham, so even if the man is wrong on some of his beliefs on the Word, at least he is doing what God is leading him to do, and not sitting around bad mouthing Kenneth Copeland or Joyce Meyer. He's following God, and loving his neighbor. He's working no ill toward his neighbor. He's living the Word of God, even if he is wrong about some things, which I think he is, or at least I should say, I would believe that he is. But you'll never get me to say a bad thing about the man. He's done wonderful things for Christian faith. God Bless you, and remember, what God did in Jesus on the cross, is far greater than what satan did in Adam in the garden! Mitch |

Repost of ID# 89213 by Hank '"We need to be careful of what we say about our brothers and sisters, we will be judged for it." --from your post No. 89181. 'Tim, where does Scripture say that Christians will be judged for reproving and rebuking false teaching and false teachers? Just how "careful" were Paul and other apostles about soft-peddling error and corruption in the church? For that matter, how compromising was Jesus in dealing with false teachers? Have you read anything about the vigor and forcefulness with which Charles H. Spurgeon opposed modernism and the apostasy that it brought to the Baptist Union of England in his day? 'No, Tim, Christians who love the faith once and for all delivered to the saints are not to be careful lest they offend. They are not to be spineless, namby-pamby, weak, apathetic, and ineffectual, craven and ignorant little wimps hiding in the shadows, ashamed of the gospel of Christ, bent on condoning error and deception. They try to rationalize their hypocrisy by calling it Christian charity and tolerance. 'The seminal cause of many church groups floundering today in man-centered theology can be traced to the failure of professing Christians to stand up for orthodox teaching and practice. The corrupting interlopers had free play simply because there was no one who had the guts to oppose them and put an end to their ungodly secularism and socinianism. When man began to introduce theological concepts that robbed God of his sovereignty and placed man in control of his own destiny, much of biblical Christianity began a slow, steady disintegration into a devilish mixture of cults, false teaching and heresy. 'Much has been said on this forum about the so-called Word of Faith movement, one characteristic of which that is widely advertised by its practitioners is expressed in the silly slogan, "Name it and claim it." Name the blessing or whatever that God "owes" us and claim it. Since when has God ever empowered man to put Him in the dock and force Him to do anything? This is Heresy with a capital H. 'What is sad is that disciples of the false teachers are not bashful to come forth to condemn orthodox evangelicals, frequently tagging them as practicing legalism because they adhere to sola scriptura and thus don't look for any special favors from God such as a private and extra-biblical sign or special revelation . . . --Hank' ID# 89213 |
