1 | When did the 1280 days happen? | Matt 24:1 | CDBJ | 78657
Greetings Searcher56, There is a book out called the Sign, if you like to read, that goes into every detail on this subject. It is the most informative that I have ever read with over 600 pages on future events. ISBN # 0-89107-756-1 I have read through it 4 times and I am still learning new things. |

3 | When did the 1280 days happen? | Matt 24:1 | Taleb | 78664
Searcher, great question. Like I mentioned before, ALL of the mentioning from the rest of Scripture needs to be considered. The fact is Jesus pointed to the “fact” of Daniel’s prophecy, which WAS fulfilled in during the 3 plus years of Anticohus’ rampage. Josephus wrote concerning The Babylonians destroying the holy place: “This desolation came to pass according to the prophecy of Daniel, which was given four hundred and eight years before.” The details of the abominations cover pages. Concerning the destruction of the last temple, during the great tribulation, Vespasian declared war against the Jews in the spring of 67 A.D. During the three and half years, give or take, morning and evening sacrifices were offered daily until July 17th, 70 A.D. During that time, the abomination was being done just by the fact the Romans were “standing where they ought not” (Mark 13); the Romans “stand in the holy place” (Matt 24:15); “the disciples KNEW the desolation was nigh when they saw Jerusalem compressed with the Roman army”. (Luke 21:20). It's interesting, that until the 19th century, there wasn't any question about Daniel's prophecy, nor Matthew 24 etc. being in the future. Respectfully, Taleb |

Unless you can prove Daniel's prophecy took place between 30 and 70 ... specfically the 1280 / 1325 days ... I think you need to rethink your view. |
