And another: Luke 17:11-19 'And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole' Just something to think about. Now, if you have examples in scripture where someone wanted healing, did not get it as those in the previously mentioned scriptures did, and still gave glory to GOD, please share them with me. I can only base my faith on what scripture teaches, not on the experiences of my brothers and sisters in Christ. Thanks for answering. And Abba Father bless you always. |

Hello Again Mbooker, The signs and wonders that Jesus and the apostles performed were a sign to all men of the authority that God had given Him. After His ascension into heaven and the giving of the Holy Spirit on the day of pentecost, these miracles were manifested through His apostles and some others to demonstrate the authority that they had recieved from Him. From the time of the first century church until the present day, we have no record of miracles occuring in such a widespread manner as they did then. I do believe that througout the ages God has done miraculous works through His people, but it is not the norm. You say if you have the faith you will be healed. All believers are given faith as a gift from God. 1 Cor 4:7 "For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? Therefore, it is not a lack of faith that prevents a sick person from being healed. Many times God's plan does not correspond with our personal desires. Which is why He gave us...Rom 8:28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Brother John |
