Bible Question:
'However again I believe it has to serve God’s purpose to heal them. Each healing in the Bible had a purpose. All showed the glory and power of God. In the New Testament most were to validate either Jesus or his apostles' I have a few questions. 1. We still have sick people in the world as they did in the gospels accounts. If the purpose of the healings showed the glory and power of Abba Father, does scripture say we can no longer see the glory and power of Abba Father thru healings like the ones performed in the gospels? 2. If most of the healings were to validate Jesus and his apostles, is it unscriptural for Jesus to be validated today thru signs and wonders (which include healing)? Some may never read the bible, so why can't we be living letters(doing signs and wonders) and maybe, just maybe, they will believe on our Father because of those signs and wonders. |
Bible Answer: Dear Scribe, God brings glory to himself through suffering as well as healing. Some ot he greatest revival in history took place during the period of the Roman persecutions of the Church. Read Foxes book of Martyrs sometime. John |
