1 | So...what is your theory? | Gen 1:26 | John Reformed | 65866
part 3 SOME QUESTIONS ANSWERED Ø Can we earn salvation? Certainly not – man, being dead in sin, is unable to save himself, or to contribute anything toward his own salvation. God’s way is to save completely and fully in Jesus Christ, and in no other way. Any other teaching is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ.41 Ø Are there any too sinful to be accepted by Christ? No, none at all. Each of us was at one time dead in sin before we were raised up by God.42 The sacrifice of Jesus Christ is sufficient to cleanse from all sin.43 Ø But what of the cost of following Jesus? Yes, there is a cost – not a cost to being saved, but a cost of living as a disciple of Jesus Christ. He calls us to live a holy life, separate from the sinful attitudes of the world.44 The standards of Christian living are very different from those of the world. As men and women who have died with Christ, our outlook on life should be different – the glory of God should be our highest priority, rather than fulfilling of personal desires.45 Ø How can I persevere? What if I fail? When God saves, He does so completely. It is not in our power that we persevere, but in the power of God. It is His promise that He will complete the work He has begun in us.46 The Bible says, “God, who has called you into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.”47 It is the faithfulness of God that brings about the faithfulness of the Christian. WHAT NEXT? The Bible speaks of Christ’s “church.” The church, in its most general sense, is not a single organization or group or denomination – it is the entire company of God’s elect that is to be found in every organization that worships God, teaches and preaches the Bible, and leads others to the true Jesus Christ. It is vital that you find a local church that believes the Bible alone is God’s Word; that teaches the truth about God and Jesus Christ (as seen in this piece). The pastor of such a church would be happy to speak with you about the work the Lord has begun in your life. Also important is the continued study of God’s Word, the Bible. Find a good, modern translation of the Bible (such as the New American Standard Bible or the New International Version) and read from it every day. A good place to start is with the Gospel of John. 2 | So...what is your theory? | Gen 1:26 | zerotheory | 65879
John, thank you very much for part 1,2, and 3. I think there is some misconection here. There is nothing in the "ZERO" theory which doesn't add up to what you just said. Have you read [Numbers]? Why did God give everyone a number? Who was "0"? What number exists whether any other number exists at all? What number is the begining and the end of all numbers? What number is responsible for the creation of every other number? what is the result when a number ceases to exist? What number is not seen but is the most powerful of everything? "0" is not like any other number, "0" is the only one that is eternal. John, there is no problem with me or what I am doing. I'm not sure why but you seem to think there is. I think that if YOU think a little about what I have offered you and study the scripture again that things might start looking a little clearer. John, please understand that the "ZERO" theory is of the bible from the bible. Scripture can be quoted and logic can be used; Again, "USE YOUR MIND TO FIND ALL OF GODS GLORY AND USE YOUR HEART TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL OF YOUR GLORY". You suggested I start with the book of John, What does [John 1:23] tell you? "He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias." He is saying, I am the voice of a number from the wilderness of Sinai.[Num. 1:1] Why is he a number? He is a number because it was Gods will. Mathematically, where do all numbers come from? They come from "0"! |

Dear zerotheory, Greetings in Jesus' name! You wrote: "... please understand that the "ZERO" theory is of the bible from the bible. Scripture can be quoted and logic can be used; Again, "USE YOUR MIND TO FIND ALL OF GODS GLORY AND USE YOUR HEART TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL OF YOUR GLORY". " Friend, there is no 'zero theory' in the Bible. Numerology is for astrology buffs and 'lovers of (personal) wisdom,' i.e philosophers. Please, where did you get the 'quote' above? ("Use your mind...") Is this something you wrote, or a quote from another? I know that no amount of thinking on my part will ever cause me to see God's glory, and I also know that 'all of my glory' is worth about 'zero.' (please, don't add this to your hypothesis! :-)) You also wrote: (in reference to John 1:23) "He is saying, I am the voice of a number from the wilderness of Sinai.[Num. 1:1] Why is he a number? He is a number because it was Gods will." Where in the Bible did you get this? No commentator I have ever read came up with this meaning, and no logic I can fathom leads me to this conclusion. Finally, all numbers do not come from '0.' Zero is simply a tool we use to express a point. A point has no dimension in the same way a line has no breadth. It just 'denotes the absence of all magnitude or quantity.' Focusing on zero will accomplish nil. Blessings and peace, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ unto you! In Christ Jesus, charis |

Charis, Congratulations! You hit the nail on the head. "I know that no amount of thinking on my part will ever cause me to see God's glory, and I also know that 'all of my glory' is worth about 'zero.'" "ALL" of Gods Glory does not exist, it is unlimited. There will never be "ALL", you can always find more so keep looking. You might feel like all of your glory is is worth zero(Nothing) but again, "nothing" doesn't exist therefore you should know that you will always have glory.(glory:A highly praiseworthy asset.) Is your love of God worthless? |

Dear zerotheory, In scripture we have Is. 48:11, where God says "My GLORY I will not give to another". Also, in Rom. 3:23 we have the statement " that ALL have sinned and fall short of the GLORY of God". My friend ,what glory do we possess outside of God? Biblically, none! "To Him be the glory forever".(Rom. 11:36) Speaking the truth In Love, BradK |
