1 | Son or son? Holy Spirit or holy spirit? | Gen 1:26 | Morant61 | 65412
Greetings Treadway! Allow me to respond to each of your responses! 1) Col. 1:16 and John 1:1-4 both specifically state that Jesus created all things, so why would you not believe this? 2) You responded to the last two questions that you did not know, yet you made factual statements that Jesus was created. Shouldn't you first determine what Scripture says about Jesus before you decide that He was created? ;-) Scripture says that we are 'sons of God', but it nevers says that every man is a "Son of God". There is a difference. Further, Scripture never speaks of any created man in the way that Jesus is spoken of as: a) Eternally existent - John 1:1-4. b) As Creator of all things - Col. 1:16 and John 1:1-4. c) As God in the flesh - Phil. 2:5-11. I would recommend that you read some of the posts made by myself, Reformer Joe, Makarios, and others on the subject of the Trinity. These will answer a lot of questions. Further, I would recommend that you go to Scripture to find out what it says about Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You will quickly discover that they could not have been created and that they are in fact seperate, but equal Persons within the Godhead. I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

2 | Son or son? Holy Spirit or holy spirit? | Gen 1:26 | FTimA | 65460
I would recommend that you go to scripture first. Get a concordance and look up Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Ghost) separately. Study on your own and develop an understanding OF YOUR OWN. Then read what other people say and compare.
3 | Son or son? Holy Spirit or holy spirit? | Gen 1:26 | Morant61 | 65463
Greetings FTimA! How do you know I haven't already done this? ;-) But, I do agree that I should have listed Scripture first, before the past posts! That was my intent, but I was in a bit of a hurry! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
