1 | Son or son? Holy Spirit or holy spirit? | Gen 1:26 | zerotheory | 65396
Mr. Moran, Yes, I do believe Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit is God, and that: [Col. 1:16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, all things consist of him. [Col 1:17]. However, this does not mean that I accept Trinity. In order to be a father you need a child, in order to be Holy Spirit you need life and death. When God created his Son, from himself, he became God the Father and the Son. However, I don't think the Holy Spirit came about until Jesus lived and died. [Rev. 1:8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty |

2 | Son or son? Holy Spirit or holy spirit? | Gen 1:26 | Morant61 | 65399
Greetings Zerotheory! Sorry about the double post! My connection froze up and I resent the material. :-) One further question if I may! If you believe that Jesus (Col. 1:16) created all things, then why do you not accept the 'us' of Gen. 1:26? You said in one of your previous posts that there was a problem with the chronology. Yet, Col. 1:16 and John 1:1-4 make it perfectly clear that Jesus was in existence prior to the creation of all things, since He created them. It seems that the only problem with the chronology occurs if you try to force Scripture to say that Jesus came into existence at some point, rather than being eternally existent as the 2nd Person of the Trinity. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
