1 | Can we agree? | Hebrews | Kelkat | 17932 | ||
Just for the record, people walk away from God for all sorts of reasons. You can't blame any one individual, any one thought, or any one teaching. The walk away is a personal choice, because is a personal God. I can't teach anyone how to have a relationship with God...that is God's job. All I can do is live each day for God. Kelkat |

Kelkat I totally disagree I have worked and talked with many people that have walked away and the biggest reason is they believed something these individuals taught and when it fail to materialize the had nothing else to hold on to. If you have placed your total faith in the belief God has to do something just because you believe He will and when that doesn’t happen what do you have left? Not much. I dealt with a man that listened to these false teachers and believed God would heal his wife of cancer. His total faith was tied up in the principal. When his wife died he was stunned. God had to heal her, yet He didn’t. He had nothing left. If you haven’t seen the devastation left behind by the teachings of these individuals please do not make statements about it. I have to deal with the messes they leave behind everyday. faith |

That's what I mean, they have taken the teachings out of context. I have heard the same teachings, but I understand that it comes down to a heart issue. God does things in my life because He loves me, not because I bribe Him. I can understand why Creflo Dollar and Kenneth Copeland can upset some people. I can see how some people want the easy way out ( if that makes sense) and are upset when it doesn't go their way. But everything I have learned so far is that there is no easy way. They have taught me to search the scripture for God's desire for my life. It's not about God doing FOR me, it's about God doing through me. I can't be the focus, or God is out of the picture. It's easier to say "I am doing this because of what you did" than it is to take responsibility for your own actions. That's all I'm saying. It's a context thing. If that makes sense. Kelkat |

Kelkat I think I know the problem. You know and believe the right way, so when these individuals say it the wrong way, you take it in, clean it up, process it, and say that is good teaching. Like I said you need to read Christianity in Crisis and Counterfeit Revival. Then after seeing what they are really saying in black and white if you still think these what these individuals teach is right we can discuss it from there. |

But the problem with that theory is that they are my teachers. I didn't believe and then start listening. I was listening when I began believing. What I have learned has been lead through them. I respect your right not to listen to them. But, I will not try to find something wrong with others. I have seen that do just as much damage. And the enemy is doing enough damage without us tearing each other up. Kelkat |

Kelkat Fine if you want to listen to their junk that is fine, but don't expect me to sit idly by as you recommend it to someone else. |
