Bible Question (short): Can we agree? |
Question (full): I would never start to say that any man's words are perfect. I know many "authorities" that have let flesh get in the way of what God wants. But I have been listening to their teachings for close to twenty years. Like all of us, they have grown over the years. It still amazes me how God can lead me to the same passage over and over and always give me a deeper understanding. Just out of curiosity, what do you personally know about any of them? I don't question your sincerity, but I also don't question theirs. Here is my reasoning: If they are called by God, then God will hold them accountable. If they are called by God, and I hold them accountable, God will hold me accountable. Does that make any sense? I have to admit that I was completely taken aback at the response I have received. I just would never have thought... Nothing that I have heard them say, or read that they wrote goes against scripture. Not everyone agrees, but that's not unusual. Let me see if I can express what they have taught me. God is the creator of all things. God created man and gave him dominion over the earth. Man sinned, and gave dominion to satan. (don't get me wrong, God is all powerful. He can, at anytime, do what ever He will.) Jesus came earth, walked as a man with the Holy Spirit working through him. He died on the cross, for my sins, was resurrected and is seated at the right hand of God. Jesus Christ will come again. Mean while, we are to strive to walk every step of our lives in His will. When we are in the perfect will of God, God will provide everything, according to His wealth, that we will need. God desires for us to be prosperous so that we are able to be used for His purpose. We do not own anything. Everything is God's, we are merely stewards for Him. Can we agree so far? Kelkat |
