1 | Is there middle ground? | Romans | EdB | 22002
Nolan I think we are all in agreement. But I do see a difference in a man initiated salvation and a God initiated salvation. By that I mean I have seen preachers give a heart throbbing, gut wrenching, emotion packed message and then a call to salvation and many that respond seem to be no different than they were before. Then I have seen preachers preach on division of land of Israel among the tribes and have seen people pray the prayer of salvation with a complete change in their life. In the first case I believe the decision was man initiated in the second God initiated. So to the Arminian bent I hold I add that God issues the call and man responses. If man initiates the act I hold the salvation in suspect until I see proof of fruit. EdB |

3 | Is there middle ground? | Romans | EdB | 22011
After being involved in one I know for a fact that at least half the people that go forward are trained altar workers so what ever number you see on TV at least half and probably a lot more are people that have volunteered to go forward to pray with others. I found most that came were already saved they just wanted to talk. Or renew their commitment or just wanted to be where the action was. So a 2 percent number really does not surprize me. EdB |
