Hi, Tim... Yes, if one defines the free offer of the gospel as a universal offer; as Jacobus Arminius wrote, "the Gospel is announced to every creature that is under heaven." When the terms are interpreted in keeping with one form of synergistic soteriology or another, the analogy does, indeed, break down.
