Hi, Jamison... No ad hominem implied. I was simply making the observation that that accusation regarding theology driving one's exegesis, while asserting one's own freedom from such presuppositions, coupled with the soul sleep teaching, are shared by those three cults. You know the old adage: if it quacks like a duck, if it walks like a duck, etc. Frequently we get people on the forum from these and other aberrant groups. (I never quite understand how they can sign up and promise to abide by the forum standards.) They also tend to be pretty monothematic. Hence, as I perused your upwards of twenty-five posts, I just had to wonder. So you attend a non-denominational church committed to the sole authority of Scripture? Might I suggest that you add to your profile, so that we might better know who you are and where you're coming from? In Him, Doc |

Hello Doc, If you meant no ad hominem, then I take you at your word. It did seem that way to me, but I have been wrong plenty of times before. I have never asserted my own freedom from reading the Scripture in light of my theology. I merely stated that I recognize that I do. Something many do not admit. Yes, my friend. My non-denominational church believes in no other inspired Word of God than the Scripture. As you and Hank have requested, I will get something in my profile. jamison |
