1 | How to follow, walk in the Spirit? | Gal 5:16 | Nevvvvine | 211315
Hi Tim:: If we have been saved, Born Again, regenerated. This means we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit, is this the same as being filled? If the answer is yes, and we cannot lose our Salvation, which we cannot. Is it then possable for us to NOT walk in the Spirit? In Christ Nevvvvine |

2 | How to follow, walk in the Spirit? | Gal 5:16 | CDBJ | 211363
Greetings, At the very moment we are saved we are both indwelt and filled with the Spirit. We as believers in Christ can never loose the indwelling of the Spirit, Hebrews 13:5 (B) I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. But the filling of the Spirit is another subject, we can loose the filling. Ephes. 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; The word filled in the Koine Greek is the word “PLEROO” and it's in the imperative mood which is a command, meaning we must do something. PLEROO carries the conation of filling up a “deficiency”, i.e. The deficiency is in the control of our bodies, the same way that wine takes control when one has had more then they should. What puts God out of control and grieves Him is when we commit sin and put our old sin natures in charge or control. The only way to put The Spirit back in control and be filled is to exercise the option of, 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This filling of the Spirit last only until we sin again and it is best to keep short accounts because, outside of Him we can do NOTHING. John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. This is being filled and controlled by the Spirit. Paul had this battle in Romans Chapter 7:15-25 Have a great day, CDBJ |

Hi CDBJ:: We are a Vessle created by God, upon our salvation, we are (Filled) with God's Holy Spirit, from that moment on, we are (Indwelled) by the Holy Spirit. Where is it written, this filling (Can) or Does) take place, more than once? Just what would the process be, by which we can be (Unfilled), without being (Undwelled) at the same time? (EXAMPLE) If I have an empty glass, (representing the unregenerate person). Then I take a fluid, filling this glass, until full (representing the infilling of God's Holy Spirit). The glass now stands being (Indwelled) by this fluid, (representing the Believer). If I pour out even (One) drop of fluid, the glass in effect, is not full anymore. The questions then arise. 1) How much of the Holy Spirit is lost upon sinning? 2) Is the amount of loss, determined by the degree of Sin committed? If you (Sin, as a believer) you are in effect, putting yourself back under the Law, acknowledging that now being saved, (freed from sin) by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we are kept free by the keeping of the Law. 3) Does not Sinning, which can only be attributed to us, by the (Transgression) of the Law, on the part of the Believer, constitute (Falling Away)? We can't lose our salvation.. Jas. 2:1010) For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Gal. 3:1-3 1) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Heb. 6:4-6 4) For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5) And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6) ("If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance"); ("seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh"), ("and put him to an open shame"). Part 2 of 2 Hi again CDBJ We "are" dead to the Law? Rom. 7 1:11 1) Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? 2) For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. 3) So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. 4) Wherefore, my brethren, ("ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ"), that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. 5) ("For when we were in the flesh"), (the motions of sins), (which were by the law), (did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death). 6) ("But now we are delivered from the law"), (that being dead wherein we (were) held); that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. 7) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, (I had not known sin, but by the law): for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8) But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. (" For without the law sin was dead"). 9) ("For I was alive without the law once"): ("but when the commandment came"), ("sin revived, and I died"). 10) And the commandment, which was ordained to life, ("I found to be unto death"). 11) ("For sin"), ("taking occasion by the commandment"), ("deceived me"), ("and by it slew me"). Gal. 5:16 This I say then, ("Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh") Rom. 8:1,4, 1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, ("who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit"). 4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit 5) ("For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh"); ("but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit"). 9) ("But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit"), ("if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you"). Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 13) ("For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die"): ("but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live"). Heb. 7:19 19) For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. I think that's enough for now In Gods Love Nevvvvine |
