1 | When does the Baptism occur? | John 7:38 | Makarios | 43807
Greetings, Ray! You have clearly defined that the 'holy spirit' is not the same as the "Spirit." However, I was just wondering what you believe is meant by saying 'holy spirit' (lowercase)? Obviously, you believe that 'holy spirit' is not a reference to Deity since it is not capitalized. Am I correct? And if 'holy spirit' is not a reference to Deity, then what are the words 'holy spirit' referring to? Do you believe that it is referring to man's spirit? Just wondering, my friend. Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | When does the Baptism occur? | John 7:38 | Ray | 43928
Hi Makarios, We have the Word, the Son of God and we have the word of God the Holy Bible. I think that just as the Word was God, the word is holy spirit. We have the Holy Spirit and the holy spirit. We have the Giver and the gift. This is the gospel or good news of God. Romans 1:3,4, "...concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, who was declared to be the Son of God with power by the resurrrection from the dead, according to the spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,..." This study of mine is a work in progress. Please don't think that I will have all the answers. I only desire to know Him. 2 Corinthians 2:14-17. From the heart, Ray |

Greetings Ray! I join you in saying "Please don't think that I have all the answers!" I, myself, am still "recovering" to get back on this Forum. I am not all the way back to posting as I did once before, like I once was! But I remain positive that I can get that unshakable confidence back, even though I am beset by my own unattainable standards. But many times, we have to start from scratch, and I believe that we can help one another and encourage each other to keep on going, to keep on improving, and to endure until the end, my friend! I pray that the believers here will continue to inspire you as you continue to study the Scriptures and live with the courage that you have shown in spite of the challenges of life! Blessings to you! Makarios |
