Bible Question: Chapter 24 of Matthew seems to be talking about an event in the future. (24:6,7 24:9 24:14 24:22 24:30) It seems that the sacrilegious object that causes desecration will be set up in Jeruselem in the future, then great calamity will come.(24:22 24:29) After the heavenly signs the lord will return. Does anyone have any ideas on this chapter? I've been taught that it covers two different time periods but I can't see it that way. Thanks for any comments. Terry |
Bible Answer: terryandangie, it depends on one's view on the tribulation. I believe these events are in chronological order ... part of it (vv 4-14) continue to happen ... the rest of the chapter will happen. Read the other posts for this chapter. Searcher |
