Bible Note: sqkeener1955, We are in a race in the christian life. Keep your eyes on the prize, the Lord Jesus. There are some good verses in the bible to hang on to when we feel frighted or inadequate. One I would suggest is that when you have these feelings is "When I am afraid I will trust in Jesus". You can say this over and over until the anxiety goes away. Tell Him you need Him and ask Him to calm you. Take time to get in a quiet, calming place away from the noise of the tv and radio and be still. Mediate on Jesus and how much He loves you. Also make time for yourself by going and having a complete physical, tell the doctor about your anxieties and see what suggestions he has for you. Sometimes diet and exercise as well as vitamins help. Be sure and pray and read the bible every day if just for a few minutes. Believe what it says and obey what it says and you will be fine. You can do it, remember Jesus said I will never leave you nor forsake you. So when you are feeling down, say I know you are with me Lord and will help me through these feelings. Thank you Lord for loving me. I praise you for you are my God and my Redeemer. Use your own words to express yourself to Him. Ask Him to help you accept the grief you still have for your son and work through the pain. He will help you. Ask Him to help you to forgive yourself for the failures you've made and then accept that forgiveness for yourself. Forgive yourself. Say I am covered by the blood of Jesus and I know that He has forgiven me because I seek to do His will and obey Him. Always remember that He paid your sin debt and cleansed you. It is because of what He did that you can face each day. Ask Him for strength and wisdom each day when you get up and at night ask Him to forgive you where you have failed Him and then thank Him for that forgiveness. God loves you so much. Lean on Him. Find a good song you like about His love and sing it in your heart every day. Sometimes good praise music, not sad music, helps our spirits and uplifts us. So stay away from the sad movies and tv programs and watch only wholesome programs. May God Bless and Keep You Val Gal 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. |
