Bible Note: ngkh Forgive me but what you wrote seems to be an attempt to justify doing nothing and letting God "make is happen". I know many that have sat their whole life waiting. 2 Timothy 2:15 (NASB) 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. Your right we don't need this book or any other book to be in right relationship with God. However these books offer testimonies of successful ways others have come to realize a deep relationship with God. They are offered as aids and ways that will benefit us. As for memorizing scripture, I'm not big on it either but I realized early on I must build a foundation to stand on. Philippians 4:8 (NASB) 8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. I can think of nothing better to 'think on', than scripture that meets the above qualifications. As I said I'm sorry you seemed to have missed the intent of the book, but each of us are different and perhaps this just wasn't your cup of tea. EdB |
