Bible Note: angel3--you have taken Warren's statement out of context. In the book he is saying that there are Christians who spend enormous amounts of time going to Bible studies, but little if any time at all actually giving of themselves in ministry and service. For that type of Christian, it is certainly true that the last thing they need is to attend another Bible study at the expense of actually putting into practice all that they are learning while soaking it up. That is what Warren is saying--having gone to his church for over 15 years, he is the LAST person who would say that someone doesn't need to study the Bible. It's always important to keep things in context. |
