Bible Note: There is something that is missing in the church that I attend now and as a result it seems like a direct violation of Scripture. The First church that I attended, after I was saved, always made time to hear testimony from those that had put their faith and trust in the finish works of the Lord Jesus. Psalm 107:1-2 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; Psalm 40:9-10 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. 10I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. I think this should be a vital part of any churches worship service. Psalm 34:3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psalm 96:2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Psalm 105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Psalm 107:31-32 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 32Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. Psalm 111:1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. I truly miss this function, CDBJ |
