Bible Question: How can christians be sure that the 144,000 is inclusive of all that are saved? |
Bible Answer: They aren't the only ones. The 144,000 that are told about in Revelations are 144,000 Jews that became Christians. It'd be impossible for that to be the only Christians for 2 major reasons. First of all they are all men and second of all they are all virgins. Also, it says later in Revelations that the number of Christians martyred were too numerous to count. The 144,000 Jews that are referred to are going to preach during the tribulation and bring many unbelievers to Christ. Some speculate that since it is referred to in the scripture that these people are "sinless", implying that God may actually create these people or "send them down from heaven" during the tribulation. Anyways, needless to say, they are not all that are saved by any stretch because that would mean the rapture, tribulation deaths, etc. would only add up to 144,000. I believe it will be thousands more. |
