Bible Note: Hello Raven You've missed the whole point of what I said. Genesis 15:6 (ESV) And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness. Romans 4:2-3 (ESV) For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness." Please consider the enormity of what has happened here. Upon belief Abraham was righteous and just in God's sight. Yes, that faith was perfected by works, no question. But that's a separate issue. Steve |
