Subject: Speaking in tongues...not saved? |
Bible Note: Dear John, I hope you won't mind that I read your profile. I would like to know where the bible says that babys are lost or defiled from birth? And not this one: Romans 3 22even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[1] who believe. For there is no difference; 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, for even it says those who believe. And we know that babys can not believe for they do not understand. The whole scheme of redemption is based on a person coming to the undserstanding that they are a sinner and therefore submiting to God thru Repentance, Confession and Baptism. And if for example we use this to prove yours and Calvin's point then this verse would seem to say that Heaven is full of sinners. Mark 10 Jesus Blesses Little Children (1) 13 Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. 14But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 15Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." You see children are not held accountable for anything untill they are accountable for their actions and understand. Which is another question, where does the bible mention sprinkling babies when their born? The word baptize means to emerse. Nowhere is there a scripture that confirms this act on babies.
