Bible Question:
I am mostly homebound so do not get to church ofen at all. Can't I still consider myself a Christian without the actual church attendance? So many places it says believe in Jesus and believe that he died for our sins and you will be saved. This seems to go back to the arguement about whether faith or works contribute to salvation. In my mind, its faith. Maybe this is too simplistic, but its what I believe. |
Bible Answer: Sandre, May I also encourage you. By your trust in Jesus you are a member of the true church or assembly of believers. The church institution is a wonderful tool that brings believers together for fellowship, mutual growth, group worship and evangilism. It is, by no means, a requirement for salvation. Salvation is a result of faith in Jesus Christ plus nothing. Rest assured that is not just in your mind, that is in God's word. Love and Peace in Jesus, Bob |
