Subject: How important is your Church? |
Bible Note: Of course, Norrie, a person CAN say that he is a Christian but not affiliated with any particular congregation of believers, but that isn't what Scripture teaches: "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:23-25). Thus it is clear that in the Lord's House is the place the Christian ought to be on the Lord's Day. Given the great number of churches in which the pure gospel of Christ is still being taught and believed, it is hard to find a legitimate excuse for forsaking regular worship in the house of the Lord. --Hank |
