NASB | 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. |
Subject: who is pure from sin |
Bible Note: I just went back a few posts to see what ya'll were talking about. Isn't what you're referring to is a sin lifestyle? OK, when we are reborn, our flesh is not immediately saved, that is a continual process accd to Rom 12:2, right? So can a person be saved and still be a lifestyle such as homosexuality? Adultery? Drug or alcohol addiction? Promiscious sex? If a person still has any of these sins dominating their life, are they saved still but have a stronghold that needs to be broken or what? When you are reborn, hopefully all your vices will go away but that is not necessarily the case, is it? Anybody can answer. |
