AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God's will, both publicly and privately--behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; |
Bible Question: If God employs ALL things in order to acomplish His eternal purpose, doesn't that mean that thieves, murderers, prostitutes, are simply doing God's will on this earth? Perhaps he wants someone to have to go through recovery after being raped, would that not mean that the person who comitted the crime was doing the will of God? And would he not have to be a bigot to then send that person to hell for doing that crime? |
Bible Answer: Hello miller521, Allow me to give you the apostle Paul's answer: Romans 9:19-24 (ESV) You will say to me then, "Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?" [20] But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, "Why have you made me like this?" [21] Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use? [22] What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, [23] in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory -- [24] even us whom he has called, not from the Jews only but also from the Gentiles?
