Bible Note: Dear TerryM, Well said! I agree that our mindset should be to give to the Lord the first and best of everything he has given us, including our time and the days of our lives. The only reason I asked for clarification was for the benefit of our audience. Many Christians in these 'busy modern days' feel that whenever they have time they will serve God, and if they have any money left after taxes, needs and wants, then give it to the Lord as an offering (bribe? :-) I understand that some people cannot get every Sunday off, but if this is chronic and-or permanent, then maybe it's time to get a different job? There is a casual attitude toward God these days that influences many 'good Christians,' but they consider it a 'right.' Sister, trust me that I was making not accusations against you :-) Blessings in Jesus' name, charis |
