Bible Question: Why do we no longer keep the seventh day Sabbath,as commanded in the ten commandments. Saturday is the Sabbath and this day was never changed, not by a command of God and Jesus never made reference to it. Even the apostles kept it long after Jesus resurrection. with no mention of a change in the day.Who changed the day to Sunday? |
Bible Answer: Exodus 16:26,29,20:10 The Sabbath day is the 7th day of the week. Leviticus 23:3,Exodus 16:23 It was designed for rest, Genesis 2:3, God rested from His creation on the 7th day. He appointed man to rest on the 7th day. Mat 11:29,30 Jesus said, come unto me and (Mt 11:28) I will give you rest. We as Christians ( even though we do not rest on the Sabbath day) do not break the 4th commandment because we belong to Christ, which He said that He Is the Lord of the Sabbath. Mark 2:3, Luke6:5 We will enter into His rest. He 3:11. Rev 6:11 td |
