Subject: Why do we not keep the 7th day Sabbath |
Bible Note: I never said the day you take off from work should be the day you worship on. Neither does it say that in the Bible. But most people take that scripture and say that you should work 6 days and and worship on the 7th. God never said which days to work, neither did He say which day to worship. He said work 6 days and rest on the 7th. Now if they day you should to worship is the day you take off, then so be it. I take off more than 1 day a week and I worship more than 1 day a week. Everybody can not have sunday off, that is why we have more than one service. I am a an advocate of Sunday worship because (and this is just my opinion) it is in line with tithing of your time. The Bible says give of the first fruits of yor labor. This could include your time. Sunday is the first day of the week (by our current calendar). I am giving the first of my time. That is a "tithe of my time. I also give an "offering" of my time through Bible Study, prayer services, choir rehearsal, women's ministries, church school, etc. |
