Bible Note: Grace and Truth, I have not tried to insult the Church of Christ. What I have done, and so have the majority of this forum, is to bring into question some of the major beliefs and practices of this denominaton and show, in the light of Scripture, that this denomination by no means has the corner on salvation, that the rest of us Christians are not necessarily members of heretical, man-made organizations. What we have said about your denomination is mild in comparison to what you and your two fellow associates have said about our "man-made" organizations. But look, what are we accomplishing by this discord and disharmony that has been seen among you Church of Christ people versus the forum at large? Are you honoring Christ by pitting your denomination's beliefs against the beliefs of the majority of the forum in an attempt to prove everyone wrong but yourselves? Am I honoring Him by engaging in open and bitter debates about doctrinal issues, on and on, and never without end? You and the fellow believers of your denomination have converted no one and have not fostered unity among this community of believers here on the forum. So what is your point, what do you expect to gain by constant repetition of the tenets of your faith? We already know what they are and where you stand. I bear you no ill will toward you, Grace and Truth, nor to any of your fellow believers of the Church of Christ. But, come now, let us reason together. Is this continual line of dialogue and haranguing about doctrinal issues taking us where we as Christians united by the cross of Christ should go? I rest my case. No longer will I respond to this thread or to any other thread that does nothing but rehash the same doctrinal issues to which a solution is most improbable. --Hank |
