Bible Question:
Dr. B., do you agree that the Holy Spirit inspired each Biblical writer (2 Tim 3:16) and they didn't borrow or copy from another writer? I ask in light of my next post. Searcher |
Bible Answer: Dear Searcher, I agree 100 percent that the writers of the Bible were inspired by the Holy Spirit, but I can't agree that they did not use or refer to other inspired writings. That would be absurd. The later writers of the gospels clearly referred to the writings of the earlier gospels. And the whole of the New Testament is infused with the Old Testament. A full list of examples would be huge. Why would you claim such a thing? Yrs, Dr. B. |
