AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 4:14 So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. |
Bible Question (short): Slain or knocked down |
Question (full): I was invited to visit the church of a family member, and accepted the invite. While I was there the Pastor prayed for me as I was standing before him. He had his hand on my forehead and he was pushing me. Of Course I (wearing 2 inch heels) was pushing back against his hand, not wanting to fall. Finally he gave me a thrust knocking me to the floor, and causing much discomfort on my toosh. People gathered around me as if it was a miraculous thing. Why do they do this? What does it mean? Why is it called being slain? I have seen it done before, I have no understanding of it. -khuck |
