AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 4:14 So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. |
Subject: Can you define Charismatic |
Bible Note: khuck You may have attended a church that called itself holiness but in fact it was filled with man made laws. In fact I feel certain I can safely say 95 percent of the rules effected women. If the men had a rule it was not wear a tie (hate those things) how convenient! True holiness churches were far more than the rules of dress. They contained men and women hungry for God, people that would fast and pray until God moved. They had tarrying services where they stayed in prayer for hours on end. They had through obedience and submission of the flesh developed a relationship with God that few today have any concept of. Out of that prayer, out of that walk, out of their relationship with God came many of the things we hear about today and call Pentecostalism. They sought God and the Spirit manifested before them. Today most seek the manifestations thinking they will find God in them. EdB |
