AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 6:10 So then, while we [as individual believers] have the opportunity, let us do good to all people [not only being helpful, but also doing that which promotes their spiritual well-being], and especially [be a blessing] to those of the household of faith (born-again believers). |
Subject: Church requirements for helping others? |
Bible Note: Norrie - I have suffered some abuse from the church and for a long time I carried around this bitter, "woe is me" heart - but the only one being robbed of joy was me. Even though I felt justified to feel as I did, it was not until I chose to forgive my offenders that my joy was restored. No one can take away our joy, but unforgiveness keeps us from enyoing it! To avoid disappointment in others,I find it is always best not to expect anything from anyone (other than the Lord - hope in Him is "confident expectation!") - for when we don't expect and they do something nice, it is a double surprise!
