Subject: Church requirements for helping others? |
Bible Note: Scripture ... 1 Tim 5:9, Jam 1:27 ............. mommapbs ... The church does honor God's Word as for as the care for widows. Where do you see otherwise. I believe you own that church an apology. Honor widows who are widows indeed; but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to practice piety in regard to their own family and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God. Now she who is a widow indeed and who has been left alone (1 Tim 5:3-5a) A widow is to be put on the list only if she is not less than sixty years old, having been the wife of one man (1 Tim 5:9) Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world (Jam 1:27). |
