NASB | 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. |

Bible Note: Tim: We are saved by neither works of the law nor works of righteousness. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" Titus 3:5 (KJV). I see your point. And the point I am making is that we are justified BY grace THROUGH faith (Eph. 2:8-9; Romans 3:28; Romans 4:5; and nearly 200 other times in the NT where faith, or belief, in Jesus Christ is stated as the sole condition for salvation). Please read the books of Romans and Galatians, as well as James. kalos |
