Bible Question: is 1 corinthians 7:1 contradicted to the Genesis when GOD said it is GOOD to have a companion and therefore created eve for adam. |
Bible Answer: Genesis 2:18 says ... Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him." God's day to you, corin, You slightly twisted Scripture, which I quoted above ... and take 1 Corinthians 7:1 out of context. Verses 2-3 say ... But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband. The husband must fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The touching (v 1) was outside of marriage, based on immoralities in vesre 2 ... and continuing to verse 9 (burning with passion). Searcher |
