AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 14:1 Pursue [this] love [with eagerness, make it your goal], yet earnestly desire and cultivate the spiritual gifts [to be used by believers for the benefit of the church], but especially that you may prophesy [to foretell the future, to speak a new message from God to the people]. |
Subject: Praying in tongues? |
Bible Note: Certainly, just as you walk in the Spirit. Praying the Word, acting on the Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to direct your prayer. But once you accept the prayer language the Holy Spirit can bypass your intellect(which often tries to filter through our understanding) and prays straight from your spirit. The level of prayer is heightened. The Holy Spirit is aware of things in your heart that even you may not be able to acknowledge, and He prays for you, and He also interceeds for persons and situations you are not aware of. Intercession is where praying in tongues is most valuable. When we are praying for others we do not really know what to pray, but He does. God bless |
