Bible Note: Steve (Indiana Jones): Not meaning to carp, sir, but to state that one part of Scripture contradicts another, as you did in your post, is rather a strong statement, don't you think? Historically your tradition has embraced strongly the idea of sola scriptura. Has it now, in the post-modern age, abandoned the idea, and have you? Perhaps you may wish to recount and reconsider the far-reaching implication inherent in your post or, in any event, posit some manner of defense for it. At all events, Steve, it does strike me as somewhat perplexing coming from you. Was it not from the same Apostle's pen whence flowed the "contradictions" that came the assertion that "All scripture is given by inspiration of God (Gr. 'theopneuostos' lit. 'God-breathed)?
