Bible Note: Taleb ... You said "Paul addressed specific situations that were tended to and dealt with the church in Corinth, that other churches didn't have. And other churches had situations that he dealt with that other places didn't have. That IS why he, and other "authors", addressed their specific letters to a specific church, need(s),or individual." My question to you still is ... Is everything in the NT, except for the Gospels, not for us to read? Are you aware that the letters were passed around to other churches and their are many copies? I think it was God's intention that all the Christians benefit from what was written and not limit to for a limited group. Women were a problem in Corinth and other churches ... as they are in some churches today. If they contradict what God said through Paul ... it needs to be addressed. Again, if you choose to says certain passages do not apply to you, God gave you that freedom. Do you know the results of taking away and adding to Scripture? Searcher |
