Bible Note: Limejuice May I caution you, your in very dangerous grounds. Jesus Christ Superstar is sacrilegious and has been considered such for more than two decades, by every major orthodox Christian denomination. For you to say that it is not a sacrilegious is saying the world is wrong and your right. You claim the Holy Spirit spoke to you from it, why would a the Holy spirit dwell in an unclean place? What you heard was not the Holy Spirit, it may have been a spirit but one that wants the world’s portrayal of Jesus rather than the scripture portrayal. The Jesus of Jesus Christ Super Star denied Jesus’ divinity and substituted the worlds view of a kind gentle and understanding man. Jesus was God and while he had all those qualities what made Him special is not that He was a likeable character but rather that He was God. To consider anything less is to consider a non authentic Jesus The portrayal of Jesus in Jesus Christ Super Star should be stench in the nostrils of any genuine Christian. Again that play/movie removed Jesus’ divinity and replaced it with a truly likable person, however Jesus was divine first and likeable second. EdB |
