AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. |
Bible Question:
I really need help writing a essay. My essay questions are : What symbols does Christian Scripture and Jesus Christ Superstar have in common? What type of "transformation" does Christian Scripture speak of? I really need help by today 03/21/2002 All help is appreciated. GOD BLESS |
Bible Answer: I have never seen Jesus Christ Superstar. Someone told me they thought it was sacreligious, so I didn't bother. However, for your scriptural question, I have an answer that may be different from others depending on the doctrine you adhere to. Man is a triune being. He is a spirit, soul, and body. It is my belief that a Christian's spirit has been transformed at the moment of his salvation. (Col 3:9-10) His soul (mind, will, emotions) is in the process of being transformed (Romans 12:2). His body will be transformed at the return of Christ (I Cor. 15:51-52). There may be better scriptures to explain these concepts, but I felt these were good ones that I recalled from memory and verified before posting here. |
