AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. |

Bible Note: The benefit that one can derive from what you suggest, as compared to reading and studying the New Testament is like looking for something good to eat in a garbage can. I am sure that if one looks long enough and hard enough that they could find something good to eat even in garbage can, but you have to go through all the slop to find it and then it will probably be contaminated by what's next to it. I wouldn't suggest eating it for any real nourishment and you could be poisoned to the point that you can't intake good food! Why would anyone mess with garbage when God offers a free, wholesome, seven course meal in His Word? Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Do you honestly think that what you are suggesting is a substitute for 2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Or are you adding to it as in 1 Tim. 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; When Paul taught he only used God's Word, even though Greek theatrics were a big thing in his day; he even gave Timothy a strong command. 2 Tim. 4:1-22 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
