Bible Question: To Nolan: I am curious as to why you want to avoid Joyce Meyer. Will be waiting for your answer. Shell |
Bible Answer: Greetings Shell! In a former answer to you, I presented the Scripture in Acts 17:11, as an example to follow concerning the teachings that you may hear or learn about from any pastor or group or even a fellow Forum member! :-) I have seen and scrutinized Joyce Meyer's teachings in much the same way that the Bereans did to Paul in Acts 17:11. However, I have found many of Joyce's teachings as very "unsound" (to say the least) in light of Scripture. And apparently, I am not alone in choosing to avoid the teachings of Joyce Meyer, since I have noticed that other Forum members feel the exact same way. So if it is true that more than one Christian finds several teachings of the same teacher as "suspect" in the light of Scripture, then that teacher's views must be challenged to see if they are Scripturally based. And I have found that many of the teachings of Joyce Meyer are not Scripturally based. Blessings to you, Nolan |
