Subject: Iam having some questions |
Bible Note: Mjh I don't think I mised your point at all. But, The Talmud, is much more then just an historacal writing, fundamentaly, it's a book of rules and regulations, and we know how easily the human heart will glom onto that and shy away from the doctrines of grace and God's truth. Whether Talmud or Mishnah, were or were not around is irrelevant, we both know the oral law and tradition was around or you wouldn't have a case at all in arguing that the contemporaries of early Christianity were dealing with it. And by the way, Paul dealt with it very effectively in Galatians, and a thorough study of, that book, is all we need to understand how God feels about the oral laws and traditions. And If I may add, if we were to just stick to that (i.e. the Bible) we wouldn't be having this discussion now. ;-) John |
