Subject: Are we presenting the gospel scripturaly |
Bible Note: Hi Mark; You are absolutely right the Bible doesn’t actually say where Abraham is at present, just as it doesn’t say where we will be the week after we pass out of this life. The moment we pass out of these bodies we will be face to face with the Lord, but the Bible doesn’t actually say where we will be a week or so later, but isn’t that a rather obvious. 2 Cor. 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Now on the other hand we can take the following into consideration. John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Since these verses don’t take place until after, what we call the rapture, maybe we won’t be with Jesus all the time after we leave this life. Are we getting off of the beaten track or what? This is starting to sound like Greek logic. i.e. If (A) then (B), if (B) then (C) etc. Psalm 119:160 The sum of Thy word is truth, And every one of Thy righteous ordinances is everlasting.
