Bible Note: Hi John, Thank you for your response. I appreciate the spirit in which you address this. I will agree with you most strongly that our theology must be proven from Scripture, and that which is not provable by Scripture does not come from Scripture, but from our own speculations, and that which disagrees with any part of Scripture is not a correct theology. I am certain you would agree with these things. Am I then correct in understanding that what you object to is the notion that man would even be required to agree with God to be saved, much less actually ask to be saved, in order to be saved? That basically, all that a person actually does is discover that they have already been born again, and having been born again they now have the desire to repent, and to commit to serve God?
